A roundtable for career development between international students and talented foreigners was held at the Kanagawa International Fan Club.
The event was held in English so that English-speaking international students could think about their careers in a casual atmosphere.
We invited three talented foreigners as guest speakers who are successful in the various Japanese business scene, like an entrepreneur, a manager at an IT startup, and a program manager at a social media company. They also talked about the importance of increasing one's curiosity and expanding one's network of contacts, all based on his own career transition.
In addition to the three speakers, three other young talented foreigners graduated from Japanese universities. They shared with us the difficulties of job hunting in Japan and their impressions of working at a Japanese company.
We hope that we can continue to provide many opportunities for international students whose main language is English to relax, and We will continue to plan and organize more events so that international students, whose main language is English, can have many opportunities to look into their careers in a relaxed atmosphere.

３/１７（金）留学生と外国籍社会人によるキャリア交流会をかながわ国際ファンクラブで行いました。
この交流会は英語学位取得プログラムで学ぶ留学生が気軽な気持ちでキャリアについて
考えることができるよう実施されたイベントで、英語で進行されました。
当日は、日本のビジネスシーンで活躍する３名のゲストスピーカーへお越しいただき、
キャリアヒストリーを語っていただきました。
起業家、ＩＴスタートアップ経営者、ソーシャルメディア プログラム担当など
多彩なバックグラウンドをもつ方にお越しいただきました。
３人のスピーカーからは自分にフィットしたキャリアと出合いキャリアプランニングしていくうえで
重要なエッセンスを数多く共有していただきました。
たとえば、自分の価値観を客観的に把握することの大切さや
失敗を積み重ねながらもチャレンジを続けることの大切さ、
また、好奇心を高めて人的ネットワークを広めることの重要性など、
ご自身のキャリアの変遷をベースにしながら大変説得力あるお話をして頂きました。
当日は、３人のスピーカーの他にも、神奈川県内はじめ日本の大学を卒業した
３人の外国籍若手社会人にも３人お越しいただき、日本の就活の大変さや
日本企業で働いた感想などシェアしていただきました。
これからも、英語をメイン言語とする留学生がリラックスしながらキャリアについて
展望する機会を多く設けられるよう、企画進行していきたいと思います。
